Actor & Voice Artist

Drew Cain is a Scottish actor and voice artist with more than 25 years’ professional experience across television, film, theatre, radio and voice work.

Trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, Drew has worked across television drama, comedy and film. He has returned to the role of James Herriot Senior in All Creatures Great and Small across several series, with other screen work ranging from Hollyoaks and The Control Room to Bank of Dave. His career also includes work in theatre and radio drama.

As a voice artist, Drew works across games, animation, television and radio commercials, narration, audiobooks, corporate and educational projects, and museum audio guides. Over the years, that has meant everything from straightforward narration and commercial reads to large casts of characters, including pilots, military officers, historical figures, a talking tomato and even a 300-year-old gargoyle.

Recent voice work includes the Football Commentator for Grenade Football in MindsEye, and William McIntyre’s Duty Man for W F Howes. Earlier work includes BBC Bitesize animations, alongside a wide range of campaigns and productions for broadcasters, organisations and brands.

Born in Glasgow, Drew spent part of his childhood in West Africa and Saudi Arabia before returning to the UK and training as an actor. Despite everything that followed, he is still sometimes recognised for a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it appearance as a TV salesman in a single episode of Still Game more than twenty years ago.
